Yellow & Brown Tie Dye Handloom Sungudi Cotton Saree

Yellow and brown tie & dye Sungudi handloom cotton saree. This is a traditional tie and dye handloom cotton saree from the district of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The body of the sari is plain mustard yellow with big brown border at the bottom, the top of the saree has a small border. The contrast big border with beautiful zari peacock motifs and small border with floral motifs make the saree and elegant piece of art work.
The pallu is brown with zari stripes giving the sari a beautiful contrast. This is a 100% cotton fabric and the saree is starched at the time of dying for a crisp feel. For those who prefer soft sarees, it can be draped without starch after a wash.
The saree can be paired with our in-house traditional khun blouse having yellow and blue motifs from the state of Karnataka. The contrast border coloured blouse with colourful motifs in the shades of the saree colour gives the entire outfit a fabulous look.
