Yellow, maroon and black ganga jamuna border style tie dye Sungudi handloom cotton saree. This is a traditional tie and dye handloom cotton saree from the district of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The body of the sari is yellow with double border at the bottom in the shades of black and maroon, the top of the saree has a single border in maroon. That makes it a saree with unique style of ganga jamuna border.  The big double border has beautiful zari peacock motifs.
The pallu is half maroon and half black with zari stripes giving the sari a beautiful contrast. This is a 100% cotton fabric and the saree is starched at the time of dying for a crisp feel. For those who prefer soft sarees, it can be draped without starch after a wash.
The saree can be paired with one of our in-house traditional maroon khun blouse having orange and blue motifs from the state of Karnataka. The contrast border coloured blouse with colourful motifs in the shades of the saree colour gives the entire outfit a fabulous look.
