White and red tie & dye Sungudi cotton saree. This is a traditional tie and dye handloom cotton saree from the district of Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The body of the sari has floral motifs on white base and red border with zari floral motifs.
The pallu is red with zari stripes giving the sari a good contrast. This is a 100% cotton fabric and the saree is starched at the time of dying for a crisp feel. For those who prefer soft sarees, it can be draped without starch after a wash.
